Amy Munz, Founder + Creative Director. Amy is a performance and multimedia artist with 16 years of experience. She has conceived and produced two full length performances and a children's Read Aloud book in the past two years. Her work drives the artistic and philosophical approach of the company. For her first piece, "Being Antigone", Amy was awarded a Northwestern University Struble Lab Grant. Her second show, “PATTERNS: For some reason, it really tickled me.” was an exploration on love that was staged in San Francisco, California and received critical acclaim. She graduated from Northwestern University’s Theatre Department summa cum laude with a B.A. in Communication and a Distinction in Theatre. Recognition and awards include one President’s Award for Educational Excellence signed by President Obama and another by former President Bush. Levente Fazakas, Resident Architect. Levente is an up-and-coming architect based in the town of Cristuru Secuiesc and working around his country of Romania. He has crafted the architectural design for The New Stage ® in partnership with Amy, helping to give a skeleton and skin to the concept of a new theater. Levente's working experience in both small towns and big cities informs his sustainable and locally-minded architectural designs. The renderings on this site are the result of his work which appreciates technical and artistic sensibilities equally. He is a graduate of the architectural school at the Universitatea "Spiru Haret" in Romania.
Sophia LePage, Director of Communication. Sophia creates communication strategies and serves as a media contact for The New Stage, Inc. She graduated with distrinction with a degree in Film Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Sophia has worked in programming and communications for several film festivals in Canada and U.S. including the AFI Docs film festival in Washington, D.C., the San Francisco International Film Festival in San Francisco, and the Documentary Film Festival in Montreal. Sophia has written, edited, and produced content for several cultural publications including Cuative Media, the McGill Daily, CanCulture, and Mr. Wolf magazine.
Marian Munz, Chief of Business Operations + Finance. Marian drives the business and financial strategies of The New Stage, Inc. He has executive experience in setting up and running start-up and small-cap public companies in the Information Technology and Financial information sectors. His knowledge of media and sentiment analysis (which lies at the core of his company Media Sentiment, Inc.) specially positions him as he has developped a suitable, powerful business model for the media, arts, and entertainment industry . His patent pending method for media analysis enables a profound understanding of a wide range of industries, helping to ground The New Stage, Inc. in an appreciation of the impact of stock prices, product sales, political campaigns and more.
Tünde Munz, Engineering + Sustainable Design. Having originally studied architecture, Tünde designs systems that are not only mindful of the environment but also are empowering to the building’s spirit and use. She has been with Guttmann & Blaevoet Consulting Engineers for over 25 years, managing much of the work with sustainable building designs and providing leadership for higher education, civic and health care projects. Tünde also has decades of experience in the craft of sewing and clothing design, expanding her expertise of design from the scale of buildings to that of people.
